In the competitive spirit of the game, Fatshark and Paradox Interactive have announced two contests for its players for the recently released third person shooter, Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West.
“Kill the Fatsharks”
Have your guns locked and loaded. It’s not very often players have the opportunity to kill a game’s developer, but next week Fatshark will put their gun slinging skills to the test. Beginning Monday, April 12th and running through Sunday, April 18th, Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West players will have their shot at killing members of its development team on Steam. The developers can be identified by the Flatshark Clan Tag. Those who are victorious will receive the rare “Kill the Fatshark” achievement called “Feedback” and endless bragging rights.
Summary of Details:
When: Monday, April 12th – Sunday, April 18th
Where: Steam
What to look for: Fatshark Clan Tag
What do you get: A Rare “Kill the Fatshark” Achievement Called “Feedback” and Eternal Bragging Rights
“The Fastest Gun on Steam”
Attaining the top score on the leaderboard naturally earns the recognition and envy of fellow players, but Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West is taking the leaderboard recognition to a new level. Each week, the highest scorer on the experience leader board will get their Steam’s avatar placed in a “Wanted” poster located on the wall of the saloon in the Sinners Gulch map . Should the player stay on top of the lists the following the week, Fatshark will up the bounty.
“These contests will be just as much fun for us as it is for our users,” said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. “We wanted to provide an opportunity that created further interaction with the community, but most importantly show our appreciation.”
“Throughout the Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West development process, the developers at Fatshark have worked closely with their community. Their dedication to the community is astounding, and the game has certainly benefited from that relationship,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive.
