NPD sales figure show that Microsoft's Xbox 360 sold 422,000 with Nintendo's Wii at 397,900 and Sony's PlayStation 3 selling 360,100 consoles. Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno video game releases pushed the Xbox 360 sales, combines with deep discounts on the console gave Microsoft it's best sales figures for a long time.
Microsoft hope the release of 'Project Natal' later this year will further boost sales.
