Star Trek Online one of the most wanted MMO video games is still suffering problems while the beta testers put the code through its paces. Despite adding more servers to the beta test farm the problems persist. Last year the closed beta put a small load on the beta test servers and code as it was limited to only a few thousand users. This year they allowed mopre players and more bugs cropped up, the beta test ended on January 26th 2010.
Atari gave away 100,000 beta keys for Star Trek Online and during the test loads of bugs were ironed out and problems solved daily. The load times improved and over half a million bugs were logged.
Of all the bugs the one that gets most notice is the disappearing cursor, players have to select the software cursor just to play the game.
With the popularity of the Star Trek franchise the developers Cryptic are working hard to resolve the issues, lets hope the login, drop connections and other minor irritations are resolved soon.
