Official Backbreaker football HD video game developers diary trailer PS3 Xbox

The second behind-the-scenes look at Backbreaker, showcasing how developer NaturalMotion is using its innovative Euphoria technology for the first time in a sports video game, creating a truly live football experience on next-gen consoles.

Euphoria made its debut in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto IV, followed by LucasArts’ Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and is currently being integrated into multiple AAA titles including Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption.

With the Euphoria engine’s ability to simulate human movement in real time, Backbreaker is able to create completely unique tackles for adrenaline-charged, unique bone-crunching plays that are unlike any other football title to-date.

About Backbreaker
Backbreaker breaks the mold of traditional football video games with realistic, physics-based motion artificial intelligence, crisp high-definition graphics and a camera angle that follows the perspective of the player. Backbreaker is the first sports video game to feature NaturalMotion’s acclaimed euphoria motion synthesis engine, offering intense gameplay, dazzling graphics and an endless variety of unique sacks and tackles.

Backbreaker includes Online Multiplayer and Split-Screen Multiplayer Modes. The game welcomes newcomers to the genre with its intuitive pick-up-and-play Arcade Mode control scheme, while seasoned players can go head-to-head in the game’s more challenging Pro Mode that turns off A.I. and visual assists. In addition, the game features total team customization including a fully featured logo editor.
