Wal-Mart holds PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii video game sale

games consolesWal-Mart Stores Inc. this week began holding a sale that discounts game titles for Sony's Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii in a new Christmas sale.

Wal-Mart stores and Walmart.com have discounted a wave of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii titles.

Discounted PS3 titles include Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at $50 and LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition at $50.

Discounted Xbox 360 titles include Left 4 Dead 2 at $50, Halo 3: ODST at $50, Forza Motorsport 3 at $50, and Dragon Age: Origins at $50.

Discounted Wii titles include Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games at $40, The Beatles: Rock Band at $40, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 at $40, Need for Speed: Nitro at $40.

Meanwhile, Amazon.com this week began offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of an Xbox 360 and EA.'s The Beatles: Rock Band.

In addition, it is offering a $20 Playstation Network Credit with the purchase of a Guitar Hero 5 PlayStation 3 SKU in a one-day sale.

Sony in November began sale of the PlayStation 3 250GB model, which includes a 250GB hard drive at $349.99.

Microsoft in Nov. began sale of the new Xbox 360 250GB Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition SKU.

Nintendo in Sept. price cut the Wii to $199.99.
