Last Avatar Thursday saw the release of a new collection of animated pets on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.This holiday season gamers will be able to outfit their little online buddies with little buddies of their own.
Coming in at 250 Microsoft Points each, the new collection of online pets feature a wide range of animated domesticated animals such as dogs, cats, birds, and even goldfish. In addition to these common garden variety pets there are also a few more exotic ones to choose from including Guinea Pigs, Snakes, Monkeys, and even a Pony.
As a special bonus, gamers who are looking for a pet beyond the norm are invited to register for a FREE pet to satisfy their holiday wishes. In celebration of the release of Final Fantasy XIII, a franchise which will finally be making its way to the Xbox next March, gamers will have the opportunity to download a Chocobo pet for their Avatar. To receive the Chocobo, gamers need only visit Xbox.com/FFXXIII and follow the instructions to register their email address and then input the appropriate code once it is available. The Chocobo pet is a limited time offer.
