The game sold over 4.7 million copies worth $310 million in the US and UK alone!
Previously Batman: The Dark Knight held the crown with $158.4 million in the first weekend.

MW2 is the sixth title in the Call of Duty series, the first was released back in 2003.
The great graphics and online multi-player options have made this a 'must-have' game this Christmas when sales are set to soar again.
The plot involves the player joining a global military task force battling ultra nationalist Russian terrorists with levels in Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Brasil.
