Monster Hunter Frontier Online how to play the game...

splah screen with game girl standing on leftMonster Hunter Frontier Online, developed by the famous Japan-based CAPCOM and operated by Game Flier, started its closed beta on Oct. 8. Why on earth is this game so highly popular among players? Now, let's just jump into Monster Hunter Frontier Online and hunt for the stimulating gaming experience specially offered by it.

To be a hunter

First, create a character to start the game! Monster Hunter Frontier Online allows all players to make their own choices when they choose the sex and class. They can also freely choose from among the hairstyles, hair colors, voices...
After creating a character, players will be led to the newbie area, where players can learn how to hunt in the Frontier world and how to use the various weapons. However, as the old saying goes: "Better tools make for good work." Before taking actions, it's better for players to determine their weapons.

Monster Hunter Frontier Online supports the joystick control, with a total of four controlling modes available. Specifically, the preset B mode applies to those used to keyboard control, while the D mode applies to those used to PSP control. And the latter may help Monster Hunter Portable 2G players pick up the game more easily.

In addition to the four controlling modes, players are also allowed to set the keys and have them endowed with specific functions, e.g. having characters show different actions when applying the various weapons. After the setup, never forget to save the settings, so as to have them take effect!

Training Time

With the basic control problem solved, it's time to enter the Frontier gaming world now. Newbie tutors beside the players will present a fairly detailed introduction about each system. Just follow their instructions step by step to get the rewards!

Besides the basic knowledge, hunters also have to be proficient in the control of various weapons, like the one-handed sword, two-handed sword, great sword, broadsword, hammer, hunting flute, spear, gun, crossbow and bow. Though only one-handed swords are available at the very beginning (Lately, players can switch between the weapon house and the personal room. And each weapon has a basic type.), there's still a very practical feature, i.e. leaning in dreams. TLarge amounts of monsters will be featured in dreams to help players upgrade their weapons, which is also quite helpful to newbies.

Hunting Time

After getting familiar with weapons, players can then take quests and go hunting. Monster Hunter Frontier Online offers a great number of quests for players to do, like killing a certain number of monsters, gathering designated items and killing BOSSES. The terrains where quests are carried out also vary greatly. And different quests correspond to different requirements for hunter rank (HR). Even the applied weapons are restricted to some extent. When taking a specific quest, the player will be shown certain requirements. Players have to read the requirements carefully before taking the quest, since each hunter is only allowed to do a quest during the same period of time.
