Apple announced that users have downloaded over 2 billion Apps through the App store and that's bad news for Nintendo and Sony.With 80% of the Apps FREE and a lot of the rest very, very cheap the gaming giants may have to change their distribution and sales model. Only 7% of the 100 top apps cost money!
They may be selling them cheap or Free but the App store has generated between $60 million and $110 million this quarter. All this without retailers, stores packaging etc. Just push the button, download and it's yours.
So look out Nintendo and Sony the futures cheap download games for the masses or go out of business....
