Sales of Dragon Quest IX have now topped three million, according to figures from Famitsu publisher Enterbrain.The DS RPG has sold 3.2 million copies in Japan since its launch on July 11; a number which Agence France-Presse is reporting makes it the fastest-selling game on Nintendo's handheld to date.
Just two days after its release, the title had sold over 2.3 million units with sales of the DSi console increasing twofold as a result.
