Cities XL - create winning home within the PC video game
As a follow-up to their recent "Point, Shoot – Win!" contest, which invited gamers to submit images of their homes for possible inclusion in CITIES XL, Monte Cristo today launched an extensive blog post describing the process of recreating the winner's real-world home within the game.
At http://www.citiesxl.com today, artist Kirill Bozhok from Monte Cristo's Kiev studio walks readers through the step-by-step process of taking images of a home and converting them into a full 3D model, complete with realistic textures, environmental effects and lighting. The new blog post includes images that illustrate each step of the process as it is explained.
