Isle of Skye Meets Its ‘Virtual' Twin - World First as Scottish Island Teams Up With Skylanders SWAP Force

VisitScotland, The Highland Council and Activision announce that the Isle of Skye in Scotland has ‘virtually' twinned with Skylands, the home of upcoming game, Skylanders SWAP Force. The stunning Scottish Highlands have been brought together with the virtual islands of Skylands, to celebrate the month of SWAPtober and the launch of Skylanders SWAP Force. The virtual twinning marks the first time a video game world has twinned with a real destination. Skylanders SWAP Force is available now at retail stores in North America and will be available in Australia on October 16 and Europe on October 18.

Magicka: Wizard Wars, the upcoming spellcasting action PvP game from Paradox North, can now be played during its Alpha phase, giving players a look behind the magic at the equally baffling world of game development and a chance to see the title take shape via their own feedback and suggestions.

War Thunder MMO combat game is coming to PlayStation 4 in a couple of weeks!


War Thunder is a a state-of-the-art, next-gen MMO combat game that combines aerial, ground and naval multiplayer battles all in a single gaming experience. Winner of the Best Simulation Game Award at this year’s Gamescom and available for PC with over 3 million players, War Thunder will launch on PS4 in Europe on November 29th. War Thunder will also support the Oculus Rift virtual reality system upon its release.
