Ghostbusters: The Video Game was penned by original Ghostbusters writers Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd and reunites members of the original cast for the first time in 20 years. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson lend their voices and in-game likenesses to the original story set two years after Ghostbusters II, with Manhattan once again overrun by ghosts and supernatural forces. The game also features performances from fan favourites such as William Atherton (Walter Peck), Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz) and Brian Doyle-Murray (portraying Mayor Jock Mulligan).
Atari will release the Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation 2 system, the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Games For Windows, Wii and Nintendo DS. The launch will also leverage Atari's worldwide distribution network to maximize the presence of Ghostbusters: The Video Game around the globe as Sony marks the film's upcoming 25th anniversary. For more information on Atari's entire line up visit www.atari.com.
2009 also marks the 25th Anniversary of the original theatrical release of Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II combined to gross over $500 million world-wide at the box office. The film spawned some of the most memorable comedic catch-phrases and scenes in motion picture history. To recognize this special milestone, Sony Pictures Consumer Products Inc has licensed the property for several new products to commemorate the anniversary, including: video games, toys, t-shirts, comic books, prop replicas, and a theme park attraction. In addition, the original Ghostbusters car (Ecto-1) has been fully restored with plans for special promotional appearances throughout the US. And for the first time ever, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II on Blu-rayTM disc.
About the Game

When Manhattan is once again overrun by ghosts and other supernatural creatures, players will take on the role of a new recruit joining the famous Ghostbusters team. Developed by acclaimed studio Terminal Reality, Ghostbusters: The Video Game will make its debut on the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC. The PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system version and the Wii version are being developed by Red Fly Studios, and the Nintendo DS version, in which the player takes the role of one of the Ghostbusters themselves, is developed by Zen Studios. Top 10 Things Nintendo should do to be No. 1 again!

nintendo logo
Ah, Nintendo. You're like an old friend to us, and watching your progress is like having to put down a childhood pet. You used to be king of the world with the SNES, and the N64 still had some of the greatest games known to mankind, but now, you're just the embarrassment of the console race.

Ironically, your console is number 1, but there's one thing that's missing that was in all of your old consoles. Good games.

Sure, the parents and politicians are eating up the Wii, but you know as well as I do that if you fail to give us some better games, you'll lose the entire audience of the gamers who have been with you for the last 20+ years. And there's more of us than there are of fictional families who gather around the television to play WiiSports.

So with that being said, I'm not going to rant too much (upon rereading this blog to check for spelling errors, I realised this was a complete lie. Rants ahead), I'm going to suggest some things that could possibly help you to reclaim your title, and make you not only the number 1 selling console on the market, but also the number one most loved.

He also worked on the in-game text, renamed characters and extended their personalities and interaction.

Sini Downing, Sidelines Agency Director commented, “Dean joined Sidelines with extensive television comedy writing experience under his belt; while he was new to the interactive industry when he wrote for LBP he immediately understood the vibe the guys were looking for in the writing. The dedicated website for Traffic X, the latest version of the world’s best selling AI aircraft traffic expansion for Flight Simulator, is cleared for takeoff!

The DVD-ROM version of Traffic X is now available and to accompany the full release of download, boxed and upgrade versions, the dedicated Traffic X website www.justflight.com/trafficX-home.asp has now gone live.
The site is designed to support the huge community of Traffic X fans. Visitors to the site will find a huge amount of information about Just Flight’s best-selling AI traffic expansion and a steadily growing catalogue of user-generated content to enhance the program. Anyone who wishes to can create their own airport facility files or aircraft repaints and upload them to the Traffic X site to share with the rest of the Traffic X community.
Commenting on the new site, Just Flight’s Richard Slater said: “We’ve had a dedicated site for each release in our Traffic series since the days of FS Traffic 2002. The beauty of the Traffic series is that its huge army of fans take a lot of time and effort to put together traffic files for their own airports or repaint the aircraft. If they want to share their files with the rest of the community they can upload them to a site specifically aimed at other users. We have similar sites for our Cargo Pilot, Airliner Pilot and Flying Club titles and they have all proved to be extremely popular.”
Traffic X includes over 1,700 different aircraft variants based on more than 80 aircraft models. The planes are designed to the highest level of AI aircraft detail and painted in a dazzling variety of airline liveries from around the world. They can all be seen flying, landing, taxiing, parking and taking off at airports large and small.
The aircraft featured range from small single-engine private aircraft like the C152 right up to the world’s biggest airliner, the Airbus A380. The software also includes the highly advanced 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350 XWB and a huge amount of other aviation traffic that falls between these extremes. There is a massive selection of commercial jet airliners, regional jets, regional turboprops, business aircraft, general aviation aircraft and helicopters and, for the first time in the Just Flight Traffic series, a whole host of multi-national military aircraft!

As well as aircraft, Traffic X also boasts a huge set of new features – here’s a quick summary of some of them:

  • The new Traffic ControlCentre (TCC) program gives you full access to customise and expand your AI traffic in a comprehensive and easy-to-use way.
  • ChronoTraffic AI time period selection feature. Every aircraft and flight can now be set to be specific to a certain period of years.
  • Take the place of an aircraft spotter and watch the traffic at busy airports.
  • The all-new Follow-me car and pushback truck let you explore the airport from the ground and even guide incoming AI aircraft to their parking positions.
