Disney's Ultimate Band to feature The Plain White T's

Plain White T's fans rock out with their favorite band in new and exclusive ways

Disney Interactive Studios has teamed up with pop-punk band Plain White T’s for content, videos and promotional efforts for its upcoming music video game Ultimate Band. Developed by Fall Line Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah, Ultimate Band takes gamers of all ages on a journey to achieve rock stardom starting as garage-band beginners and working toward the ultimate rock notoriety. With the Plain White T’s featured in Ultimate Band, fans can play their favorite band’s music in an accessible game with great value.

Two-time Grammy nominee Plain White T’s are featured in Ultimate Band for Nintendo Wii with exclusive videos including an acoustic performance of the single “Natural Disaster.” A re-recorded version of the Plain White T’s “Our Time Now” is also featured in the game allowing players to use male or female voices for their own uniquely customized Frontman. As players progress through the game’s garage to stardom storyline, they unlock specially designed Plain White T’s band characters while performing “Our Time Now.” These characters can be then played during any song throughout the game.

“Our Time Now” is also featured in Ultimate Band for Nintendo DS™. Players increase their fans by strumming along to the chords on the lead, rhythm or bass guitars, as well as rocking out on the drums.

The Cyth Systems Guitar Hero robot clocks up an impressive score using pneumatic 'fingers' a camera and a frame to hold the guitar.

World of Warcraft is 4 today Blizzard celebrate with a FREE baby bear companion...

Four years ago on November 23rd, Blizzard opened its doors to Azeroth and then quickly shut them, opening and closing them several times until they were sure they had enough servers to handle the massive rush of players eager to enter the World of Warcraft.

To celebrate 1,460 days of lost time, broken relationships, and weight gain, folks who log into the game today are gifted with the achievement "WoW's 4th Anniversary" and an adorable little baby polar bear to follow them around everywhere they go.

For those of you online right now, you actually have to log off, then log-in again to receive the award.

Grand Theft Auto IV PC video editor - what can you do?

So we know there's going to be a video editor for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV (PC), but what can you do with it, and how do you do it?

Rockstar has dropped details on the versatile little app that will allow just about anyone to easy create and share game clips with the Social Club TV website. To start, all you have to do is hit F2 and the previous 30-40 seconds of gamezplay are dumped into a clip.

Open up the video editor from your in-game cell phone, and from there you can view the clips, use the editor to string them together, adding music, special effects, titles, and transitions, and then head to the upload section to post them directly on the Rockstar Games Social Club TV site for everyone's viewing enjoyment.

World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King player collapses after 24hrs playing.

A 15-year-old collapses after playing online combat game World of Warcraft's new Wrath of the Lich King extension for 24 hours...

The boy, from Laholm Sweden, had been playing with friends when after the marathon session he took what is believed to be an epileptic fit.

A local newspaper reported that the teenagers had played all day and night only stopping to eat. World of Warcraft takes place in a virtual online world full of mythical creatures controlled by players from around the world.

In the past some players have become 'addicted' to the game and immerse themselves in this virtual world and leave the 'real' world behind.

Players can achieve higher rankings with this addition and on French player managed to get to the top ranking after a reported 27 hour session playing the game.

Blizzard, the game makers, expected this feat to take the average player weeks or even months to achive.

The French player known as Nymh used his friends playing along side him to gain the top ranking.

World's best selling video game is Madden 08 football sim

If you asked most games what they think the best selling game in the World over the last three months was bet the answer would be Madden 08. More likely Grand Theft Auto or FIFA 09 but no EA's football sim out sold them all selling almost 3 million copies beating Wii Fit into second place ( maybe if you could get Wii Fit it would have won!).

Wii Fit sold just over 2 million copies while Madden sold well in the US only 36,000 copies were sold outside the homeland.

What was third? Star Wars The Force Unleashed sold 1.7 million copies to grad that place with Pokemon Platinum (with 1.5 million) in fourth fifth was Mario Kart with 1.48 million sales).

National Geographic to create video games for iPhone and consoles

Through its for-profit unit National Geographic Ventures, the non-profit National Geographic Society is set to announce Tuesday that it has created National Geographic Games.

The division's first game, "Herod's Lost Tomb," was developed in-house and is a free download for PC, Mac and the iPhone. After that, NGG is coming out with games for Nintendo's Wii, Sony's PlayStation 3 and handheld devices.

Some will be developed in-house while others will rely on partnerships, like "National Geographic Panda" from Namco Bandai and "National Geographic: Africa" from Sony.

Chris Mate, previously an executive with Take-Two Interactive Software and Bethesda Softworks, was named GM of NGG.

NGG is expected to focus on building games that further its theme of spreading geographic knowledge.

The Lost and Damned download for Grand Theft Auto IV

the eagerly anticipated first episode of downloadable content, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned, will be coming to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system via Xbox LIVE online entertainment network. Available exclusively on Xbox LIVE worldwide on February 17, 2009, The Lost and Damned will feature all new content and is the first of two episodes announced for Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360.
