Pool Revolution Cue Sports video game on WiiWare - Play Online

Pool Revolution Cue Sports
Pool Revolution: Cue Sports will be coming to WiiWare. This fun and accessible pool game can be played against friends in the living room or online, so players no longer need to worry about having enough space for a pool table!
“Pool Revolution: Cue Sports gives WiiWare fans what they want,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment. “Pool is a recreational activity everybody wants to play together, not alone, so we’re positive players will be happy with the offline and online modes we included for up to four players.”
Pool Revolution: Cue Sports features realistic controls where gamers use the Wii Remote just like an actual cue. The strength of the shot depends on how fast the player moves the remote.
For those not quite ready to use an “actual” pool cue, the strength of the shot can be set by using the buttons on the controller.

Players can choose from the most popular types of pool for up to four players, including eight ball, nine ball, rotation, and snooker. An in-game explanation will help provide descriptions of anything you need to know! Once gamers get the hang of it, they can also try performing trick shots in Puzzle Mode. For players really up for a challenge, they can even set up their own! And, for those who feel they are true pool sharks, there is online play for up to four players in a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection matchup.

Pool Revolution: Cue Sports is rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

Tomb Raider Underworld Lara Croft's Race To Escape The Sinking Ship

sexy tomb raider
In Tomb Raider: Underworld’s latest exposé, Lara Croft takes on all comers in a frenetic fire fight aboard a huge ocean liner. Battling foes with a multitude of weapons, her acrobatic skills are tested to the full as she explores every section of the ship to recover a stolen artefact.
As Lara enters the interior of the ship, the pace quickens when an explosion rocks the ship to its core, causing the ship to list and finally sink. With time running out, Lara must regain the artefact and escape the fire ravaged corridors and escape to freedom.
Her exit is blocked on all sides by raging fires and gas explosions that stop her in her tracks. What once were floors become walls, as ceilings break apart and crash to the floor. Where the whole structure was once a solid grounding in the ocean, the entire level becomes the puzzle where only the quickest and smartest will survive!

    LittleBigPlanet moderation, censorship and outrage...

little big planet gameLittleBigPlanet on PlayStation 3 is no stranger to moderation, censorship and outraged users, and now that user-created levels are starting to be removed by game moderators, the users are angry once again. "So many cases have no questionable content in sight, even ones with humorous light hearted violence have been taken down, like the popular [God of War-referencing] Demon Skull level," reports Kotaku.
Said another user: "Some levels I've seen now unplayable due to moderation: Pacman, Batman, and Scrubs related level." Users are reporting that levels are being permanently deleted upon moderation, sparking forum members to advise one another to save copies of their work before submitting them to the online world.

The pattern among deleted levels appears to be references to various intellectual properties despite earlier reports of multitudes of levels with Sackboy-populated homages to games like Super Mario Bros. and Mirror's Edge. However, the deletion of levels based on the PlayStation 3 itself and one entitled "Failure to Launch"--which shares a name with a 2006 romantic comedy film--has raised eyebrows about the moderation system in place. Media Molecule community manager Sam_Protagonist wrote on the PlayStation forums that the team is at work on a new moderation system.

    littlebigplanet screenshot
We are working on a system whereby any level that is moderated will inform the creator of the level why the action was taken, as there could be unintentionally unsuitable content in the level, or a cultural offense which is harmless in one country and offensive in another - either way we want to ensure that creators' levels are only permanently removed if they warrant it. In most innocent cases a simple tweak to the level may be required and that's what we're working on communicating.
