Codemasters announce Emergency Mayhem video game on Nintendo Wii

Duck for cover as Codemasters puts players in charge of the emergency services in the most accident-prone city of all time!

Set to put the urgency into emergency, Codemasters® today announced Emergency Mayhem exclusively for Wii. Coming Q2 2008, Emergency Mayhem puts the player at the helm of the three emergency services in a frantic race against time to hold together Crisis City, a mad metropolis falling apart at the seams.

Combining chaotic driving sequences with arcade mini-games, you'll be in stitches controlling the frenzied police, fire service or paramedics as they dash around the city from one emergency situation to the next. With over 30 missions, it's a non-stop time crisis where you'll be rescuing people from burning buildings, defusing bombs and more.

However, in this city, the emergencies are of a decidedly slapstick nature; crazy situations will have you hurling bananas at out-of-control monkeys, using a trampoline to bounce escaping prisoners back into custody and herding penguins to safety with hilarious consequences. In a city where there's always an urgent situation calling out for your attention, even those mischievous monkeys will get in your way

In Emergency Mayhem time is your enemy, relentlessly counting down as you take charge of a fire truck, ambulance, or police car to speed through the city's eight different districts to the next emergency. Have you got the nerves necessary to beat the clock and save the city? Find shortcuts, such as making use of the city's underground railways lines and even sewers, to get there on time and save the day.

When you reach the scene of the emergency play switches to one of over 30 mini-games which take unique advantage of the Wii Remote to solve crazy crises. Using the Wii Remote, you'll have to pump the to practice CPR, point it to direct water from a powerful hose, mimic a wrench to bring bursting water-hydrants under control and aim it to fire tranquiliser darts into on-the-rampage monkeys!

Get ready to put down those monkeys and put on the uniform in Q2 2008 when Codemasters launches Emergency Mayhem to the sound of sirens for Wii. If in urgent need of emergency assistance please visit www.codemasters.com/emergency for more information.

EA confirm FIFA Street 3 video game stars Ronaldinho - Crouch & Gattuso

Trio Will Appear As Stylized Action Heroes Performing Over-the-Top Trick Moves

Electronic Arts announced today that international football superstars Ronaldinho, Peter Crouch, and Gennaro Gattuso will be featured world wide on the front packs of FIFA Street 3, the newest iteration of the EA SPORTS BIG street football arcade series.

FIFA Street 3 brings these players, and others like them, to life as stylized action heroes in a hyper-real world that merges the game’s biggest stars with environments that pulsate to the music in exotic locations around the world. Ronaldinho, Crouch and Gattuso represent three of the different types of specialist players created in game, where gamers can choose to play with Tricksters, Playmakers, Finishers and Enforcers for different options on the ball and a different gameplay experience. Gamers get the chance to combine these different types of specialist players and associated skills to create the ultimate street football team.

“FIFA Street 3 is about turning football icons into eye-popping characters through the game’s stylized art direction for an over-the-top arcade soccer experience,” said producer Joe Nickolls. “Ronaldinho, Crouch and Gattuso represent three of the different types of players available in our game and we were able to exaggerate their qualities to really create larger-than-life characters.”

Ronaldinho, the cover athlete on the original FIFA Street, is a global megastar and the Brazilian International and FC Barcelona midfielder’s list of accomplishments includes a FIFA World Cup winner’s medal, the 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year, as well as the 2005 European Footballer of the Year award.

Joining Ronaldinho will be Italian World Cup-winning footballer Gennaro Gattuso. The creative midfielder, who plays for A.C. Milan, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League title in the 2002-03 and 2006-07 seasons, continues the tradition of world-class athletes donning the FIFA franchise covers. It is Gattuso’s first appearance on an EA SPORTS™ or EA SPORTS BIG cover.

Completing the trio of world class players will be Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch. Liverpool’s top goal scorer in the 2006-07 season, Crouch has also been a consistent goal scorer for the England national team. He will have his 6’7’’ height amplified to compliment his ball-striking and finishing skills and help to create a new soccer experience.

Take your football heroes to the streets and experience the revolution in street football. FIFA Street 3 will be available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and Nintendo DS. FIFA Street 3 is scheduled to ship to stores under the EA SPORTS BIG brand on February 15th, 2008 in Europe and February 18th in North America. It is rated “E” for Everyone and 3+ by PEGI.

More than half of Microsoft XBox 360 owners own Halo 3 video game

It seems that with some simple math Kotaku have come to conclude that of all the Xbox 360 owners in the US, over half of them own Halo 3.

While their assumption might not be too accurate it definitely gives you an idea of just how popular the Halo series has become, with 7.9 million 360s sold in the US, and 4.1 million copies of Halo 3 sold.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to most considering how hyped Halo 3 was prior to release causing some to buy a 360 for the soul purpose of playing this game.

EA give Free games for broken rock band guitars

NOTE FROM EA WEB PAGE: This offer applies only to a limited group of customers who were notified directly by EA Customer Support that they would receive a free game. If you did not receive such an email directly from EA Customer Support, then this offer does not apply to you.

Often it seems that the video game world is plagued by companies unwilling to own up to their mistakes.

EA has broken the trend by offering a bit of consolation for the unfortunate Rock Band owners whose guitars broke shortly after getting them out of the package.

While they’re waiting for their replacement guitars to come, they can get their choice of one of many free games from the EA catalog. These aren’t second-string or outdated titles either.

Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, The Simpsons Game and NBA Live 08 are just a few of the titles available.

If you’re one of these slightly-less-unlucky-now few, make sure to submit your request before January 11th, when the offer expires.

Rock Band video game released on Sony PlayStation 2

Yes, the band simulator is now in stores for the PS2, allowing non-next-gen gamers to rock out within the comfort of their own homes.

The bundle includes the wireless Fender Stratocaster guitar controller, an electronic drum kit, real drum sticks, a microphone and software for $160.

The PS2 and PS3 versions share the same instruments so players need not buy new ones if they upgrade their console.

The PS2 version, developed in collaboration with Pi Studios, features the same content and modes as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, albeit with lower resolution graphics and the complete lack of downloadable content, meaning that PS2 gamers will have to play the same songs over and over again.

Dragon's Lair video game Don Bluth Animation Production framed Cel

Dirk The Daring production cels from Dragon's Lair arcade game. Professionally matted and framed ready for hanging. Multi cel set-up.

*About the background: Background is hand painted. I know it isn't the background that goes with these cels and I don't even think it's from the game itself, but it's still VERY nice. Could possibly be from the studio but I do not know. May have been painted by a previous owner - who knows!

Has a Gallery Lainzberg COA and seal on the back. This is an awesome set-up. I have never seen one this nice on ebay.
